io ma uit intai cu ochiul, ma uit bine, pe urma pun aparatul la ochi, ma mai uit o vreme prin el si cand vreau sa declansez nu merge si observ ca flicare indicatorul de baterie, k-lys.

mai fac cate un crop , o redresare si cam atat, ca mie imi place mai natur.

 - de cele mai multe ori trag in format RAW daca e cu putinta (point & shoot-ul meu nu vrea  :grin:), shutter priority (uneori aperture priority), bracketing (3 shots) doar pt a avea optiunea unor variante sub/supraexpuse, mai rar pt HDR
- nici o tehnica speciala (nu prea inteleg aici ce detalii ai vrea), poate doar diverse unghiuri de fotografiere a acelasi subiect
- situatii: oricand ( la orice eveniment public, ma duc la organizator, intreb daca e ok sa fac fotografii la public, anunt publicul ca voi face fotografii inainte de inceperea evenimentului- cei care nu doresc sa fie fotografiati sa imi spuna, etc etc... daca fac fotografii in parc, sa zicem,- nu in cadrul unui eveniment organizat- abordez parintii copiilor fotografiati, ii intreb daca pot pastra pozele facute si daca doresc o copie...in 3 ani cred ca doar 2-3 persoane m-au refuzat, foarte politicos de altfel.)
-locuri: oriunde (cred ca e valabil raspunsul anterior) + studio (cand e a naibii de urat afara)
-filtre: UV, polarizer, softening
-studio+ sistem de iluminat: http://www.opusprophoto.com/products/lighting_kits/m_series_kits.html (OPUS M1002), doua backdrop-uri: alb si negru + stand, photoflex multidisc reflector

nu mai stiu ce altceva, ma gandesc... ::)


- programe: photoshop CS3, picasa cand sunt pe calc. straine  :grin:

Trag numai RAW, nu ma omor dupa HDR, Photoshop, OnOne Fractal, Noise Ninja, singurul filtru pe care-l folosesc este un polarizant Hoya.

Commercial Photography

The Commercial Photography Program provides in-depth instruction in various aspects of professional photography including advertising and editorial illustration, portraiture, catalogue photography, architectural photography, fashion photography, industrial photography and digital imaging. In courses designed to cover both theory and practice, students learn to use small and large format cameras, tungsten and electronic flash for studio or location lighting, and computer imaging software for output and media applications. Throughout the program, a mature and disciplined approach to commercial photography is emphasized and at the same time, students are encouraged to develop a personal creative vision of the world. There are two semesters per year. A 'Winter Semester' begins in January and a 'Fall Semester' begins in late August.
Objectives
The goal of this program is to give graduating students the technical, visual and business skills to perform commercial tasks typically done by self-employed or staff photographers in a manner that meets industry and professional standards.

Admissions Requirements
Ministerial Requirements
Applicants must have a Secondary V diploma or equivalent or acquired knowledge and skills deemed sufficient by the College for potential success in the program
In addition, the applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
the applicant’s studies have been interrupted for at least two consecutive terms or one school year;
the applicant is covered by an agreement entered into by the College and an employer or by a government program;
the applicant has completed at least one year of post-secondary studies over a period of one year or more
College Requirements

English language skills equivalent to placement at Preparation for College English or higher. Students may be required to take an English placement exam.
A letter of intent explaining the student’s reasons for seeking admission to the program and demonstrating his or her interest in developing a career in commercial photography.
List of Courses
          
Term I
CAMERA AND LIGHT(45 hrs)
This course focuses on basic camera operations, image capture material, and quality and nature of light. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a studio and on location. Topics include digital camera operation, lighting equipment, basic lighting techniques, properties of light, optics, lens selection, camera maintenance, camera accessories. 

PROFESSIONAL PHOTO PRACTICES I(45 hrs)
This course focuses on the history of commercial photography and the nature of the profession of photography. It will consist of a combination of theory, practical exercises and classroom presentations. Topics include photographic career options, historically significant photographers, historically significant photographic trends. 

APPLIED PHOTOGRAPHIC DESIGN I(60 hrs)
This course focuses on the application of composition and design principles through practical photographic assignments. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a classroom, computer lab and studio. Topics include single person portraits, layout principles, principles of composition, basic typography, spatial organization, framing.

PHOTO IMAGING LAB I(60 hrs)
This course focuses on an introduction to bitmap imaging software. It in a classroom and computer lab. Topics include basic retouching techniques, basic compositing techniques, preparing images for print. 

Term II
APPLIED STUDIO I(60 hrs)
This course focuses on basic studio techniques for photographing people and small products. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a studio and on location. Topics include copy photography, basic people photography, basic small product photography, catalogue photography, lens selection, lighting options.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTO PRACTICES II(45 hrs)
This course focuses on photography as a career and basic small business requirements. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a studio and on location. Topics include marketing principles, the business letter, the business plan, entrepreneurship, small business management.

APPLIED PHOTOGRAPHIC DESIGN II(45 hrs)
This course focuses on more complex design principles and the proper use of shadow & light to convey a visual message. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a classroom, computer lab and studio. Topics include advanced design principles, negative/positive space, creativity, shooting to layout.

PHOTO IMAGING LAB II(60 hrs)
This course focuses on intermediate level bitmap imaging software and basic film and paper processing. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a computer lab and in a photographic darkroom. Topics include intro to colour management systems, digital image manipulation, conventional film processing and enlarging, darkroom protocol and safety, preparation of chemicals.

Term III
APPLIED STUDIO II (60 hrs)
This course focuses on advanced techniques of people and product photography. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a studio and on location. Topics include wedding photography, fashion photography, advertising photo-illustration, editorial photo-illustration. 

APPLIED LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY I(45 hrs)
This course focuses on an introduction to photography on location. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises on location. Topics include architectural photography, event photography, the photo essay, travelogue photography. 

PHOTOGRAPHIC MEDIA INTEGRATION(45 hrs)
This course focuses on the integration of photography and electronic media. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a classroom and computer lab. Topics include building a simple Web page, FTP software, using the Internet as a promotional tool, using the Internet to deliver images, using speaker support presentation software, introduction to multimedia.

PHOTO IMAGING LAB III(60 hrs)
This course focuses on advanced techniques of post-capture image production. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a classroom and computer lab. Topics include the digital workflow, preparing a photographic print for display, page layout software, advanced colour management systems, alternative process printing techniques.

Term IV
APPLIED STUDIO III(60 hrs)
This course focuses on creating professional quality studio photographs for use in a commercial portfolio. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a studio and on location. Topics include advanced portraiture, specialized techniques, working to a layout, food photography. 

APPLIED LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY II (45 hrs)
This course focuses on advanced techniques of location photography. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises on location. Topics include photography of industrial processes, photography of people in the workplace, advertising photo-illustration on location, the photo essay. 

PORTFOLIO CREATION(45 hrs)
This course focuses on advanced self promotion and business practices and development of a professional portfolio to demonstrate competence to potential commercial clients. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in the studio and in the computer lab. Topics include portfolio development, portfolio options, creating a “client list”, perfecting the business plan, portfolio display and presentation.

PHOTO IMAGING LAB IV
This course focuses on advanced digital image processing, advanced image retouching and advanced image output techniques. It will consist of a combination of theory and practical exercises in a computer lab. Topics include preparing images for a portfolio, preparing images for the client, alternative software choices, Internet Web site creation.
