Maestra a culorilor estompate atat in acuarela dar si in ulei, Alexis Serio exploreaza spatiile vaste, cu o atentie deosebita la efectul luminii asupra peisajului, la rasarit sau in amurg cand formele se estompeaza in reflexii ciudate.
 
Serio comments: “The watercolors are reflections of my past. They are the fragments of a life filled with happiness, joy, and love… The drawings are metaphors for my loss and hope; they are my life now. They are vulnerable, fragile, tangled, sad, and silent… When all else is gone, there is stillness.”
